Healing with Horses Workshop
Pemberton, New Jersey
May 2012
At this workshop individuals become aware of the energy of their own body through exercises and mediations. They learn how to perceive the subtle physical communication and the energy field of the horse; and how to modulate and to direct their energy to help the horses to heal.

Healing with Horses Workshop
Summer: Before and After Photos
Summer is a Thoroughbred mare that was fortunate to receive energy healing during the two day workshop in May. Mary Ann Brewer, her owner, utilizes Summer to help facilitate her Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions that she presents along with mental health professional, Debra G. Farber, LPC.
Mary Ann stated that “…when we take Summer to be a facilitator in our Equine Assisted Psychotherapy session, unless the person is congruent and interested in being with Summer instead of doing something with her, she usually sends them away with a gesture of biting.”
After the workshop Mary Ann reported that Summer “…was pleasant, interested in humans, joining us in the circle to get connected to a particular participant, generally different.
No display of displeasure. Debra and I noticed it right away, how different Summer is.”

and hind end.
Right/After: Summer after the healing. You can see how relaxed she has become overall and that she has released through her top line.

Hearty

Mary Ann Brewer utilizes Hearty in her Natural Horsemanship training sessions. After the workshop Mary Ann gave this update about Hearty:
"A young girl rides Hearty usually 2 times per week and Hearty has taught much to this teenager! Hearty would buck, go with her head up and refuse jumps. Not always, but the rider knows she needs to get the bucks out and not "piss her off"...
(Three days after the workshop) we went to the indoor arena to ride and jump. Her rider noticed how different she felt underneath her. Hearty was VERY willing to jump and what her rider said was she felt like
Hearty's hind end came up underneath her as she took off and over the jump making the landing easy.
The rider was glowing and surprised
and wanted to know what Hearty did. I saw
Hearty look willing, relaxed and round. All of a sudden this teenager got interested in energy healing!"
Mary Ann also is also pleased that Hearty now jumps a half of a foot higher than she did before the workshop.
